Introducing Logi-Tech’s Collaborative Services

Logi-Tech has always strived to deliver the most efficient solutions and service to the IT market. As a part of on going research and development at Logi-Tech, a new team has been created to design and deliver highly efficient solution and service delivery. Called Collaborative Services, this team delivers exactly what the name says, efficient and cost effective solutions based on the collaboration of client, vendors and Logi-Tech service and support.

How is this different to existing service and support provided by Logi-Tech? Collaborative Services aims to provide the solution based on hosting or managed service principles. How does this benefit the client? It can do the following:

  • Reduce capital spend
  • Reduce the load on the internal IT team
  • Allow greater access to state of the art technologies
  • Keep your licensing up to the minute
  • Improve uptimes on network and infrastructure
  • Ensure support comes from vendor certified technicians
  • Provide greater resilience to business systems
  • Take the load from the internal data centre
  • Provide one central contact for all the IT requirement
  • One invoice per month

Vendor Certifications

Logi-Tech has transitioned into 2012 with Microsoft Gold status (top 5% of the Microsoft ecosystem) and Platinum in Citrix. These are major achievements for a local reseller as they are very difficult to achieve and maintain.

It is a credit to the team for taking time to learn the technologies and pass the required exams. As well as this there are similar achievements in the Virtualisation and Storage technologies. cerifications to achieve let alone maintain over a number of years.

Ride Like Crazy

As you maybe aware, Logi-Tech are a keen supporter of the Ride Like Crazy Fundraiser which is in memory of Peter Moore's good friend Mick "Crazy" Koerner and takes place within the Tour Down Under.

This race was supported by 2000 riders and raised in the order of $150,000-$160,000 for cancer research.

Well done to those who supported this race and thanks go to SAPOL and the people that organised a great event.

How Secure is your Environment?

All businesses are becoming increasingly responsible for the safeguarding of not only their information but other people’s also. With the popularity of social media and cloud solutions there is a view that this medium is trusted and the data is safe.

This is not necessarily the case and there is increased concern over the security of these data centres and the ease at which they can secure proprietary and private information from them and gain access to your system. The threats are not only external but can also be internal. Computer security in today’s society can cover a number of areas from physical security of hardware and data to malicious attacks on systems, which could include criminal activity resulting in leaked corporate information, identity theft and loss of business.

With the growing demand for smart devices which allow for a far flexible mobile workforce you now need to consider security outside of your standard office IT environment now more than ever.
