September 2009

Welcome to Logi-Tech e-news.  This spring we have for you CMV Group's thoughts on Logi-Tech, focus on Data Protection for Disaster Recovery, a free download for XenServer from Citrix, and we introduce you to a member of our team.

But first, a note on what is happening inside Logi-Tech.  The Logi-Tech Executive Team is busy reviewing our strategic direction including the organisational structure to ensure our clients continue to benefit from highly accredited staff, key vendor partnerships, more competitive offerings and improvements to our internal systems and processes.

In addition, we have been reviewing our brand and how you, as our clients, see us in the marketplace.

What do our clients really think?

  CMV Group Logo

CMV Group are a diverse organisation that operate predominately in automotive retail in South Australia and Victoria along with interests in agriculture and office furniture.  When asked the question, what do you really think of Logi-Tech? this is what Geoff Magin of CMV Group, Adelaide had to say:

IT is consolidated across the entire CMV Group.  Logi-Tech provides infrastructure, network and hardware services including advice and support, when and where needed.

What sets them apart amongst the IT service providers I have worked with is their friendly service, knowledge, responsiveness and confidence.

Their best qualities are that they are "professional, product knowledge, are quick to respond and trustworthy.  Logi-Tech willingly tell up front if they can't do something requested."

Geoff Magin comments, I generally do a lot of research before choosing a supplier and have to be comfortable before I deal with them.  Once I chose a supplier they usually become trusted partners.  With Logi-Tech I can send emails or call and they always respond quickly.

Geoff concludes, "Logi-Tech look after me as a person, as a client and as a business.  I won't deal with a company unless I trust the people.  If I trust the people, I can trust the company.  I find that good people work for good companies and good companies keep good people.  I would recommend Logi-Tech in a heart-beat".

DATA PROTECTION

What's your Disaster Recovery Plan?

In a data hungry world, data protection and integrity is essential to business continuity.

Data loss can occur in many different ways, and at any time. The most common cause is through physical hardware or media failure, and virus corruption. Have you got an adequate solution in place?

We offer simple backup and recovery plans which include:

  • The secure transfer data via internet access;
  • Backup and replication for email systems, database & file storage;
  • Storage management catering for data growth;
  • Reporting of data backed up and recovered;
  • Recovery testing offsite; and
  • Data retention on a monthly basis.

To discuss your plan, contact Peter McVey on email at Peter.McVey@logitech.com.au or by telephone on (08) 8152 4000.
